Cove Sportsman Club, Hwy 237
The Cove Sportsman Club was incorporated
in April 1948, and the Club's building was completed in
1949 on land leased from the Episcopal Church.
Membership is $15.00 per year, and
is open to everyone 18 years or older. The Club holds
public trap shoots for all ages at 9:00 AM on the first
and third Sundays of the year, except the months of June,
July, and August. Club meetings take place the second
Wednesday of each month, excluding the summer. Meetings
are at 6:30 PM, and feature a potluck supper, the business
meeting, and bingo.
Special Club events include an oyster stew
membership drive each January; a members-only crab feed
in February; and a special turkey shoot in December for
families, which also has games for non-shooters to win
hams, turkeys, and bacon.
The Sportsman Club hall with kitchen is
available for renting at $30 for members and $50 for non-members.
