Fruit production in Cove reached a new milestone in 1993 with the establishment of the Gilstrap Brothers Winery, Oregon’s only winery east of the Cascade Mountains. The mission of the Gilstrap brothers is to provide superior wines in modest quantities. At present, annual production is around 1,400 cases. The winery is open to the public for tours and tastings.
