Holding a bachelor's of science degree in music with emphasis in vocal performance, Maureen O'Brien is a
gifted teacher and choreographer. Maureen began her dance career at the age of six and became a professional performer in her teens. She has danced professionally throughout the northwest as well as at Disneyland. Having choreographed among others, "Caber-etc II," at EOU and, "Peril
on the High Seas," and "Music Man, Jr." for the Community School of the Arts. She has taught classes in
jazz, musical theatre, Celtic, ballroom, dance team and also coached baton, flag and cheerleading squads. Her
experience with teaching youth theatre, directing and assisting with musicals, youth choirs, has led to her
current position as the choir director of the Presbyterian Church in La Grande.
